Using web browsers on mobile devices.Step 1
Open up a browser on your mobile device and press the icon of the browser that you wish to utilize. You can close tabs for popular browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari (for Apple devices) on both Android and iOS gadgets. Its appearance and where it is located can vary according to the browser being used. It could take the form of a numbered box or two overlapping boxes located at the top or bottom of the screen.

Search through tabs by scrolling up or down to find the one you would like to shut.
Step 4
To close a specific tab, simply hit the X located in the upper-right corner of the desired tab. This will immediately close the tab. To close all tabs, hold the Tabs icon and tap Close All Tabs. On some mobile browsers, you will have to hit Edit to access this option. If you don't see an X, try swiping the tab to the left.
